Independent Study - Student Design Project

Designed during a semester long interdisciplinary, independent study that examined light in design, literature, history, and art. Works like Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Republic by Plato, and the Myth of Prometheus inspired an interest in light's relationship with nature and environment, as well as the concept of enlightenment. This lamp was designed to highlight the natural materiality of the wood, and diffuse a soft warm glow.
